            Who We Are

    As a creative sort of person, Debra has always found herself dabbling in all areas--working with her hands & keeping her eyes open to all of God's beauty that surrounds us. She has found her true passion in storytelling and photography.  She also enjoys crafts & dabbling with essential oils, though hasn't incoporated them into her website yet!  She loves all things in nature and tinkers in the garden, trying to incorporate planting and crafty ideas into her yard and home.     

   A child at heart, she loves to weave spontaneously created, interactive stories with children in a school or library settings.  She started telling stories when her daughter was just a little thing, begging her to read 'one more story'.  Debra was tired of reading the same old thing over and over, and decided to spin a yarn using her favorite characters.  One thing lead to another and she found herself not only telling her daughter stories, but creating her own characters and sharing stories with her daughter's classmates.  Then she spread her wings and once she told stories to most of the school, she finally started sharing her stories at the local library with preschoolers. 

     As a Sunday school substitute helper and teacher at her church, she was able to work with children from K-3rd grade.  In the past she has been lead teacher, but has taken a bit of a sabbatical for a number of years.

     Debra is presently working on a childrens' fiction chapter book for 7-12 year-olds and is hoping to have it to the publisher soon!  She will let you know as soon as it comes off the press (just let us know you're interested)!

    Her photography originally grew out of a love for nature, wanting to capture everything she saw and keep it for herself.  She loved to experiment with whatever camera she had at the time (Swinger, Instamatic, her first SLR, now a digital camera) -- still does!  She found  lugging her camera around to the places she has traveled  has been quite rewarding and  now she wants to share what she has seen with you.  Debra is sure you'll find something you'd like to hang on the wall or perhaps use as your stationery!

   Finally, Debra has some tremendously creative and gifted friends that she wants to showcase on this site -- they have various creative outlets:  photography, sewn and woven crafts, jewelry are only a few! Each of them have some great gems to share with you.  Most, if not all of her showcased friends, live Christian-centered live.  We hope you enjoy their handiwork!
